1.  Can you highlight the collaboration between Takatuf and HEC Paris?

Education and human development are key components in the growth and empowerment of the society and HEC Paris is a key player in the international and in the region’s education sector. As a leader in executive education, we partnered with Takatuf to develop an executive education program, the ‘Emerging Leaders Program’, to provide leaders from the Sultanate’s public and private sectors with a unique, powerful learning opportunity and hands-on experiential leadership experience. The program takes into consideration Oman’s leadership environment and leverages Takatuf’s expertise in Human Capital.

2.  What does HEC Paris in Qatar seek to achieve?

Our motto is ‘The more you know the more you dare’ and it is our mission to help entrepreneurs and future business leaders develop. At the same time, we assist executives to expand their skill set. Alongside our degree programs that we offer in Doha, our Executive MBA (EMBA) and the Specialized Master’s in Strategic Unit Management (SBUM),  we also offer in the region non-degree executive education programs, in the form of Executive Short Programs and Customized Programs. Our aim is to support organizations to develop or to keep excellence in their activities by educating and working with individuals and teams.

3.  What are the unique features about the Emerging Leaders Program?

During the 3-month program, the participants will get to experience HEC Paris’ world-class education under the guidance of our renowned faculty. The involved faculty has in-depth knowledge of the region through the vast regional experience they have gained since HEC Paris in Qatar has been installed with the great help of Qatar Foundation in 2010. Hardly any other business school in the GCC can offer this regional expertise and the possible close interaction between us and local organizations interested in our world-class offer. We are consistently ranked among the top business schools in the world.

Through case studies, experiential exercises, simulations, and team projects, the ‘Emerging Leaders’ will benefit from an innovative curriculum. The dynamic program will allow participants to develop their leadership and management skills and prepare them for Oman’s business challenges and economic landscape.

4.  Is this executive education program in sync with market needs?

HEC Paris, one of the world’s top business schools, offers world-class education that is applicable to any market. Yet, I customized the ‘Emerging Leaders’ program to the needs of the participants and is aligned with the demands of the Oman market. We worked extensively with Takatuf to structure a unique curriculum to develop leadership qualities most sought by Oman’s leading organizations. Participants will be able to apply their knowledge in real time as it is adapted to the challenges of the GCC sector. Additionally, the action learning projects of the program, which combine theory and practical elements of learning, add value to the sponsoring organizations.

Also, it is the second time we run the program and we have thus made further improvements. We do not rest. We always strive to do the best for the participants and their supporting organizations.
